Well, I just got the Xeric Grant for self-published comics. Unfortunately, they're real picky about how the money is spent, so no European vacation for me. But it does mean I'll get to print a somewhat more sturdy version of my comic. I'm also going to redesign the cover. Does anyone have a good idea for the cover? The above drawing is NOT a candidate.

Well Pat, you're not responding to my phone calls or comments, but I persist nonetheless. I just spent twenty minutes trying to find that web page where the guy reviewing your comic is dumbfounded by your writing directly on the cover to no avail. I think that post, which includes the image of your "defaced" comic, would make a great cover, or perhaps back cover is even more appropriate since it doubles as a critical response...Congratulations on the grant!!!
